The final outcome was favorable: NJMVC canceled the scheduled suspension and my driving/registration privileges were not suspended. I appreciate that result. However, my overall experience was disappointing because the case started at $300 and was later increased to $800 with only a brief explanation that it was “much more involved.” The final NJMVC notice appeared to involve an administrative identity/document verification issue, not a traffic stop, traffic ticket, court appearance, or trial. When I respectfully asked whether the fee could be reviewed based on the actual scope of work, the response was defensive and stated the firm spent 5+ hours at $450/hour, but I was not provided an itemized breakdown or clear prior hourly agreement. Good outcome, but poor fee transparency and poor communication after the case was resolved.

Went from 2 points to 0 and was an easy/fast process. Some pre-communication would have been helpful around what to expect the day of the court date.
