First of all, my lawyer was not very communicative with me. His responses were infrequent and not very detailed, and I often had to press him for details. He did not go over his strategy with me, and seemed to wave off my concerns and attempts to gain more information. I also feel that the lawyer could've reduced my ticket more than he had. I highly appreciate his effort and am satisfied that he was able to reduce my points, but given that the ticket was out of state it did not really help me as the same number of points transfer over and now my insurance rates will go up. I think for a first offense where information on the ticket was wrong, and based on typical experiences of others, there could've been grounds for other ways of mitigating the ticket. The lawyer never offered me deferral, or traffic school, or anything similar. Overall, I'm happy with my experience with Off The Record and will definitely use it again, but I feel that my particular lawyer could've done a better job.
