Scott Baker single handedly ruined 2025 for me. Ever since I hired him, I was nothing but respectful to him. I knew nothing of the process since it was my first offense and first time ever talking to a lawyer. I’m not going to express much opinion because opinion is all talk but what I will share is fact. I was caught speeding in the last week of march in a state very far from home. Had a summons for April 2nd, the following week. I’m a college student, living on my own and I tried my best finding a lawyer in such short notice with a budget of $0 in which Off the Record helped me a lot with. Since March I’ve missed 4 weeks of work, $560, 4 weeks of classes, time with my family, countless bus and plane tickets and most importantly my time. Every single time I traveled to the state, Scott Baker was thoughtful enough to let me know the night before my trial. In one case he didn’t tell me at all, and I had to figure out after waiting for 2 hrs after my hearing time and asking someone in the court house. For 2 of these inconveniences he told me a certain date and after checking in with the court house those dates were never actually confirmed with the court house. He continuously pushed the date back for no reason until he had to have surgery on his hand, he could not drive because the pain was unbearable he stated. Now we’re in July, after telling me the court hearing will be pushed to mid August he tells me that he is in the hospital and disbarred. And i’m on my own. I will admit I procrastinated on this task as others would do to a task so stressful. But I had a great idea. Due to previous experiences with him let me check when the date actually is, guess what guys, never in August, it was set for mid July and I was on my own facing up to 12 months in jail and a $2500-3000 fine for my first ticket ever.

Just my made me lose money and time. I had to find another lawyer. Not recommended

No communication. Doesn't answer questions at all

Withdrew 6 days before my court date.

10 days for my court hearing left and he withdrawn given excuse is because of medical emergency
