It's the last resort to keep the ticket off your driving record. Yes you could have just went straight for the deferral and not hired a lawyer, but at the same time you did pay us to go to court for you so you did not have to. I did spend a lot of time in there. You paid for a professional to thoroughly spend the time and effort to look over your case. You may not like the conclusion, but the ticket is off your driving record and this is really the best outcome possible. You would be more upset if we chose to contest and the case was a lost. Hi Rina, I think there is a misunderstanding in the results. No seatbelt goes to your personal driving record only. That is for tracking purposes and for accounting purposes on your end and the government's end. It does not go to your driving record with insurance or employers. That means it has no effect on your insurance rates or employment. I did more research into your question about a deferral. It's possible to use a deferral, but the fines are higher for that outcome and the practical legal effect in the same for insurance and employer purposes.
